We bring back Memories you didn’t know you had
Do you remember Bell’s Orchard?
The 45 acre orchard was located at 1005 West Lane # 22 in Lake Zurich, Illinois. Bell’s opened in 1939, & was started by John Bell & William Webbe. My folks used to take us there when we were kids. I have such sweet innocent memories of spending time there with family. We would climb ladders looking for that perfect apple, drink apple cider, go on hayrides & eat cider donuts. We would fill bushel baskets, (like the one pictured below) with delicious apples & take them home, where it seemed like for weeks after, we’d enjoy apples & homemade apple pie. Bell’s sadly closed in 1998 to make way for another subdivision, appropriately named The Orchards.
