Carpentersville and Area Elementary Schools
Welcome to the Carpentersville Memories Area Pages Our goal is to bring back some fun memories of growing up in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.
We bring back Memories you didn’t know you had
What was Carpentersville like in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s?
Carpentersville was a place where we all felt safe, any time of day or night. A place we called home, a place with friends, family and great people. Whether you lived there for a year or a life time, the memories of Carpentersville are forever in your mind. Check out all of the area elementary school pages.
Most of the schools are a part of Community Unit School District 300 (D300, or district 300, for short). A small group are a part of Barrington Community Unit School District 220 (Barrington 220, for short). Where you live determines which district.
D300 administration is currently located at 2550 Harnish Drive, Algonquin. It’s been there since January 2015. One former location included the building where the first Dundee High School had been located (in Dundee). Another time, it was located in the third Dundee High School building (in Carpentersville). That location shared the building with Carpentersville Middle School.
The district is comprised of schools (and students) located in Carpentersville, West Dundee, East Dundee, Sleepy Hollow, Algonquin, Lake in the Hills, Gilberts, and Hampshire. Hampshire feels like a separate district. In the past, they ran different classroom hours. They, at the time, also had a separate bus barn.
Barrington 220 covers Barrington, Barrington Hills, Carpentersville, Deer Park, Fox River Grove, Hoffman Estates, Inverness, Lake Barrington, North Barrington, Port Barrington, South Barrington, and Tower Lakes. Their administration building is located at 515 West Main Street in Barrington. Sunny Hill is the only 220 district school located in Carpentersville at this time.
