This publication covered Dundee, Carpentersville and Algonquin. The price was 20 cents and it was published weekly by the Barrington Press with a circulation of over 12,000.

Elgin Daily Courier News

Published from 1884 through 1991 by Copley Press and others. The newspaper changed names over the years.
Cardunal Free Press
Published in Carpentersville by Cardunal Store News, Inc. from 1958 through 1985. Circulation included Carpentersville, East and West Dundee, Algonquin, and Lake in the Hills.
