Did you go to Carpentersville School?
Carpentersville School
This school was one of the oldest schools in the district, it existed prior to 1917. This is known because there was a fire on February 12, 1917. The school was rebuilt. The facade of the new building looked very similar to the previous building. Carpentersville held kindergarten through 6th grade classes. In 1970, Carpentersville Grade School stopped carrying the 6th grade. In 1971, the grade school combined with Parkview. Carpentersville held kindergarten and 5th grade only until 1981. Later, Larkin Center bought and used the property, and now the building has been subdivided. Otto Engineering used space in the school at one time as well.
