Dean Allen Ekberg was born on December 18, 1959 in Elgin, Illinois and passed away suddenly on October 8, 2013 in Tucumcari, New Mexico.
He was taken from us too soon, he was 53 years old. Dean attended school at Jacobs High School in Algonquin, Illinois where he graduated in 1977. He was a life long home remodeler, and a pretty good mechanic who took great pride in his work.
He took more pride in his family and is survived by his mother, Eileen (Raymond) Wilson of Fox River Grove, Illinois, his sisters, Diane (Bob) Schaefer of Rockford, Illinois and Donna (Dave) Cooprider of Lake Villa, Illinois and his brother Tom(Keri) Wilson; his children Laurie (Richard) Perez and Shawn Adams, and one grandchild, Mia Perez, all of Waukegan.
Dean had many close friends and made more everywhere he went. He had a personality that made him so easy to love and will make this loss harder to bear. Dean will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
