Diane E. Savino-Mangia
Diane Savino-Mangia, 57, passed away tragically Tuesday evening, Nov. 17, 2015 in Elgin. She was born July 12, 1958 in Elgin the daughter of Nicholas and Irene (Otterholt) Savino.
Diane was a 1976 graduate of Irving Crown High School and worked for Bergner’s in the Spring Hill Mall. Diane married Sam J. Mangia on May 6, 1989 and they have been residents of Hampshire for 28 years. She worked for the Allstate Insurance Co. in Hoffman Estates for 25 years.
Diane was an avid Cubs fan. She had a large heart and saw the good in everyone. She loved her family dearly especially her grandkids.
Surviving are her husband, Sam; children, Kristi (Cory) Fasetti of South Elgin, Brian (Monica) Powell of McHenry, Brandon Mangia of Chicago; stepchildren, Timothy (Kimberly) Mangia of Cortland, Samantha (Joseph) Scimeca of Hampshire; 10 grandchildren with another two on the way; her beloved Misty Kitty; siblings, Irene (Bud) Sims of Union, Jeffrey (Mary) Savino of Woodstock, Jannine (Mike) Compton in Florida, Rosanne (Tim) Dwyer of Hampshire; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Judy Allison; and grandson, Nicholas Powell.
