What could be better than a night at Floyd’s?

This was the restaurant for late night drinking, fine dining, and banquets. Many a wedding or rehearsal dinner was held here.

Floyd’s

This is another fine dining restaurant. Special occasions were their specialty. Whether it was a small event or a large one, this was the place to go. Many dates, family celebrations, rehearsal dinners, and wedding receptions were held here. Also, many a banquet for local events took place here.

Harley Carlson was the well-known head chef. He was great at cooking in the restaurant, creating fantastic dishes. At home, it was a different story. His son said his dad was known to burn the food. You can’t be brilliant all the time.

The bar was the place to be too. There was an older crowd earlier in the night. Meaning, those who, when they found out that someone was celebrating their 21st birthday, couldn’t fathom being that young, ever. After about 2am (went most bars closed), the late night, or is that early morning, bar hoppers would ‘takeover’. Floyd’s bar had a 4am closing time.
