Did you ever go for a ride down the Jet Slide?
If you took a trip down the Jet Slide on that burlap sack you probably ended up with a few leg burns. The Jet Slide opened in 1968 with high expectations, but the slide only lasted for a few years before injuries and other problems caused its closing in 1970. Although it was great fun, and not overpriced, the fear overcame the thrill for many who went on the ride.
