We bring back Memories you didn’t know you had

Dinner for under a buck and a great hangout!

McDonald’s went through many changes as time went by.  However, it has always been in Carpentersville across from the Meadowdale Shopping Center.  For many high school students this was their first job.

If you have any McDonald’s images to share please contact us.

McDonald’s of Carpentersville

The home of the Golden Arches. This has been their logo for as long as anyone can remember. It is a stylized M. This location has been around since 1961. The location is at Illinois state route 25 and L W Besinger Drive (formerly Ravine Road). This corporate owned location started as a place with very little seating, usually utilized for waiting on your order. The idea was to eat in your car or at home. There was no drive-thru.

Later, they remodeled and expanded. They added full indoor seating and a drive-thru. An outdoor children’s recreation area was added eventually.

Several years back, the building was torn down and rebuilt. The restaurant building was turned 90 degrees and there is a longer lane for expanded drive-thru usage. It loops around the building. It looks like half the McDonald’s famous arch laying down.

Please check out all of the great McDonald’s images and files from the past.
