Born April 24, 1931, in Chicago, Walter lived many years in Carpentersville and raised his family there where they attended St. Monica Catholic Church. A supervisor in the field of electronics, and a Navy Veteran of the Korean War, beloved husband of Cecilia “Ceil”, nee Rzepkowski; loving father of Sharon (Jack) Mueller, Richard, John (Katie) and Sandy Trainor; devoted grandfather of Jennifer, Jeff, Jacob, Jonathan, Barbie, Corinne, Colleen (Jason) Mayer, Michael and Julia; great-grandfather of Logan and Kayla.
